Manjuyod White Sand Bar
Manjuyod
white sand bar is like a treat after you finish your close encounter with dolphins at Tañon
strait. It is estimated 600 hectare total strip area, submerged portion
included.
I
was not able to witness the sand bar because we arrived there during high tide, and according to our boatman it
will be compared to Camiguin white island in low tide, nevertheless I enjoyed the pristine
water while we had our stopover after our dolphin watching.
The
wooden houses built in stilts are for rent, P2000/day or P3500 overnight.
During high tide it may look like a floating houses and at low tide, kids and
kid at heart can run around the sand bar. You can cook your own food or pay
P250 per head per meal. The stilt house is equipped with comfort room, lounge area, 6 seated
table and one bedroom for two. Each house has solar lighting and only 2 light
bulbs, there’s also fresh water enough for bathing purposes only. Check in time
is 8 AM and check out time 8 AM the following day.
